About Anna
You may have spent a long time trying to make the right choices. You may be used to anticipating other people’s needs. Therapy can be a place to slow down and notice what is true for you.
I want you to feel genuinely welcomed and known. There is room for the painful, shameful, contradictory, or messy parts of being human.
What matters in the room
“I’m interested in the details that make you who you are.”
I do not assume I have a map for your life. I bring experience, careful attention, curiosity, and clinical judgment to something we can make sense of together.
A few places to start
You do not need to arrive with the right words or a clear diagnosis. These are a few experiences that may feel familiar.
You may notice your mind staying busy, your body feeling keyed up, or a familiar sense that you should be doing something differently. Sometimes anxiety is clear. Sometimes it shows up as indecision, overthinking, or feeling unable to settle. We can slow down enough to understand what is happening and make room for what feels important to you.
You may have spent a long time trying to meet expectations or make the right choice. It can be hard to know what you want when the inner pressure to get it right is so familiar. Therapy can be a place to get curious about those expectations, where they came from, and what it might be like to have a little more freedom around them.
At times, you may feel distant from your own preferences, emotions, or sense of direction. You may keep moving through the day while feeling less present in your life. I am interested in the details of that experience, including what helps you feel more like yourself and what may have made it difficult to stay close to your own inner life.
Work can become a source of real strain. You may feel worn down, less able to recognize yourself in the role you once cared about, or caught between responsibilities and your values. I am interested in how the particulars of your work life are affecting you. This is not about finding one correct answer; it is about making room to think together.
You may be used to anticipating what other people need, managing the emotional weather around you, or losing track of yourself in relationships. Individual therapy can be a place to notice the patterns that have shaped this way of relating. We can stay close to the relationships in your life while also making room for your own feelings, needs, and limits.
Some parts of life can feel painful, shameful, contradictory, or difficult to say out loud. You do not have to make those parts neat before bringing them into therapy. I aim to create enough safety and attention for curiosity to become possible. The goal is not to judge or tidy up your experience, but to understand it with more care.
How I work
We might explore the expectations and experiences that have shaped how you understand yourself and relate to other people.
We can also pay attention to what feels important in your life today, including what may help you move with more freedom.
My perspective
My approach draws from psychodynamic training and clinical work in a large healthcare system. I bring that depth and curiosity alongside practical, solution-focused support.
I’m also attuned to the ways work can become a source of distress, including burnout and conflict with your values.
